Creating Habitat in Your Backyard
No matter the size of your garden, you can provide food, shelter, and other resources to the multitude of critters, from birds to bumblebees, who help keep the ecosystems we all rely on to function efficiently. Our small collective actions have an impact and YOU can help these declining species with a few key practices. Come find out what those key practices are. The health of our planet depends on it.
Amanda is the Environmental Advocate for the Monterey Audubon Society. She has a background in native plant restoration and ecology and, of course, is passionate about bird conservation and bringing the joy of bird watching to people from all backgrounds. She has a BS in Biology and an MS in Environmental Science, loves watching birds, riding her bike, and advocating for a more equitable world.
